wannabe Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Is there a simple way that I can draw, or have AutoCAD draw me, a line that runs in between two other lines? These lines arent straight, and they also arent identical. So copy, offset etc is out the window. My guess is that I can use the measure command and run some blocks down at close spacings and then pick the middle of two points snap at each set of blocks. I also expect a routine can be created to make light work of this. But I'd like to make sure im not missing anything even simpler. Cheers. Quote
Tiger Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 You want it in the center of the two lines I'd imagine? Are the nodes of the lines spaced fairly even? without seeing the actual lines, I think I'd either use PolyLine and the snap M2P all along the lines, or draw short lines between each set of nodes and then draw a line between the Midpoint-.snap of the shorter lines.
