Panelfab Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Why is the cursor action delayed in some drawings but OK in 90% of my drawing files? Quote
nocturne00 Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 what do you mean cursor is delayed? is this upon input of commands? Quote
Strix Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 is this happening on your larger drawing files? Quote
Panelfab Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 what do you mean cursor is delayed?is this upon input of commands? No. For example, in the copy command, when I place the cursor arrow at a point on the drawing then hit the left mouse button, there is a five second delay before before the cursor box appears on the screen. Now I have complete mobility and freedom of movement of the cursor as I drag the cursor to the second spot until I hit the left mouse button again, at which point there is another five second delay before the copied items are "collected" and now I again have limited movement of the cursor. The cursor behaves as though the snap or osnap are active and will only move to certain points on the drawing, but I have the snap commands and the grid off. Quote
Panelfab Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 is this happening on your larger drawing files? The files do appear to be larger than they should be for the detail on the drawing, but I have purged them. This is my response to another input! Strix Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 try a search on the word 'slow*' - thread titles only - and see if there's some appropriate suggestions listed, as I'm sure this has been covered before a couple of times the * will allow 'slow', 'slower' and 'slowly' to be picked up in the same search Quote
Cad64 Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Try running an AUDIT on the drawing to see if there are any errors. Quote
Panelfab Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Not having any success with the suggestions but do appreciate the input. Quote
