koolquasar Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Hi, Is there any way to programatically convert IGS Files to Autocad DWG Drawings? Preferred Languages are C#, C++ (In case if conversion possible, then any language). Regards, Vignesh. S Quote
ReMark Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 A company called SYCODE has developed the program IGES Import for AutoCAD 1.0 and it is available for $195 (U.S.). Quote

ReMark Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Click on the link below. Page down to the section re: IGES Import. The description does not mention particular versions of AutoCAD. I would assume that it would work with 2008 as the software was developed in 2006. http://dwg-to-iges.qarchive.org/ Quote
ReMark Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Do you really need to convert from IGS to DWG or would it be acceptable just importing the raster file? I think you could use the IMAGEATTACH command to view the file in AutoCAD and draw over the top of it. Quote
