Hi there, I've been really struggling trying to model a rear sprocket. I'm not very good at solidworks ao i tried to find a suitable one to modify from 3dcontentcentral but the only one that was suitable wouldnt import properly.
What i need is a 46 tooth 520 pitch rear sprocket.
Can anyone help me please?

I've modelled the sprocket without any teeth now, all i need is some help putting the teeth onto the outside of it. Could someone give me some advice on how to go about it, or I could email you the model file if it would only take a minute.

yes iain there is a procedure for modeling sprocket teeth. i dont have the time to draw it/write it at the moment but i have seen it online someone.
basically you have to know your roller to roller distance, and your roller diameter. you have to draw lines a certain angle apart. this angle i believe is 360/number of teeth. then you draw a vertical line, then offset your lines.
really this probably isnt any help without pictures. let me search real quick for you.

scroll down on that page and it will give you everything you need to know. after you have all your construction lines and circles you can use the power trim function in solidworks to clean up the extraneous lines.
let me know if you need more help than that site.
