5 photos on one drawing is killing AutoCAD, but I need to retain the quality as best as possible.

Anyone got ideas?

Unload them when you don't NEED to utilise them.

Then only reload them all for plotting / printing ?

Do you need to see all the images at once? You could unload the ones that you don't need using -image?

Oops got distracted during reply and didn't realise NBC posted same solution. Apologies for replication.... but I suppose 2 answers are better than none....

If you make separate layers for each image, then you can freeze the images that you don't need at the moment, but they are all there. :D

They are photographs of particular areas of land along a stretch of road and its surrounding area. They will need to present after every plot, unfortunately.

2 of them just fail to plot, anyway.

I'll think I'l try it in Microstation to see if there is any difference.

Feel free to offer more possible solutions. Previous and potential suggestions are much appreciated.

If you are having difficulties with plotting, try plotting to a dwf file, and then plotting paper copies (or pdf files) from the dwf file

Sorry I have been far from precise with my comments in this thread; far from accurate as well.

The images were losing quality, by gaining purple and pink streaks and looking all grainny.

The problem was that i copied them from a word document. So when I located the original files and rastered them in they worked perfectly.

sorry to waste your times and thanks for the comments.
