layout display thick lines

why is it when i go to the layout tab, my lines are showing as thick lines in the viewport. i know this before but i cannot remember:oops:. i'm trying to attach a file to show what i mean but it's too big. thanks for the help in advance.

check if youR 'LWT' button is swithced on. it is below command line with pther buttons like ortho,osnaps etc. switch it off
