wannabe Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Do the settings for SNAP not affect POLAR and OTRACK? Quote
Ad26 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Thank you for replying, I recently had to reload my Autocad software and now when I use my polar track, (witch I use all the time) my cross hairs must be “dead on” the angle that I’m drawing in order to get the desired effect. The slightest stray and I will loose my polar tracking vector. This also affects the mirror and rotate commands (witch I use all the time). I have also noticed to snap to my object snap marker, I need to be a lot closer to that point for the marker to appear. I have tried to reloading Autocad and still no effect. Thank you Quote
eldon Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Check the setting of APERTURE. The smaller the number (between 1 and 50), the nearer you have to be to the line for polar tracking to lock on. It should default to 10, but you may like it higher. Quote

eldon Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Don't reload AutoCAD, just type APERTURE at the command line and enter your chosen number. Quote
Ad26 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 You are the best!! Thank you! where in the hell did you find that I have been looking through commands for a long time for this. Thanks again Quote
eldon Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 It's all part of having used autocad for several years, and meeting with the same problem. Thanks to CadTutor Forum, we can pass on experience. Quote
