MartinAdkins Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hi not sure if I am posting in right forum. I am a Faciltiites Manager and use Autocad 2008. Just recently I have encountered a problem when I am moving blocks around my plans on one plan only all the others are fine. On this particular plan if I want to move something - it will only let me move it in straight lines horizontal of vertical and not in any direction as per usual. I certain it is something really simple but I just cannot work it out and tried looking up in manual and help topics but coming up with nothing. Any help greatfully appreciated. Martin Quote
dbroada Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 have you got ORTHO set? Bottom of the screen button or F8. Quote
MartinAdkins Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 hi Dave Yes ORTHO is set. Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 If ORTHO is on then it forces the object to only move along the X or Y axis. (Or Z if working in 3D) Try turning ORTHO off. Quote
MartinAdkins Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 I just realised what you getting at. turned it off and bingo. Cheers dave you're a star been driving me mad for days. cheers skips as well Quote
