Assembly parts don't behave as solid

Hey everyone,

I need some help with my assembly! I have made a small safe using a few parts! I can "mate" everything fine but what when i try and close the door of the safe, the door itself goes through the solid material! i want to be able to give it some degree of freedom (open and close the door) but not so it goes through another "part" Please help! if you ask, i will upload the parts and the assembly.

what version of SW are you using. You can add to your constraint an amount of rotation you wish it to have(90degrees or so). i believe you can also(in the options) constrain it to stop on contact. If you are using 08 or 09(only two ive worked with) when you are adding your mates, there is another tab that says motion. i cant get you a screen shot until tomorrow.

Ahh cool! yeah i have been trying to look for that but cant find it! what time can you get a screen shot?
