View Full Version : What is the best computer for AutoCAD 2009

hi guys im finding that im taking more and more work home and my home desk top is not just cutting it anymore.

I run CAD2009 at work on windows xp

I wanna have the same kinda set up at home as I've herd that CAD2009 has some problems with vista.

can anyone help me out I wanna get the best computer for 2009 with about $1500-$2000.

There are no more problems running AC 2009 on Vista than there are running it on XP as long as your new computer is up to the task. You want to get as much RAM as you possibly can afford as well as a good AutoDesk supported graphics card. You might want to consider quad core and a 64-bit system. What computers have you looked at so far?

Well unless you are going to be using more than 4 gb of ram then you really don't gain much by going 64-bit. I like the new Intel core i7 series systems. 4 core with HT! Sweet!
