manyee Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Hi guys, I have a problem in updating my Certified Hardware XML Database. My system is Dell Precision T3400 with Nvidia Quadro FX570. I just installed Autocad 2009 and after I type 3dconfig, clicked on Check for Updates. Autocad 2009 said that there is update available so I clicked yes. But then there was a window pop up saying: "Performance Tuner failed to update. Please check your network connection and make sure you have write permission to the file." This is my personal PC so I'm supposed to be the only admin, right? Does anybody know how to let ACAD2009 update my Certified Hardware XML Database? Thanks, Quote
LCE Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Not had this before, but make sure that you are running ACAD as an administrator (right-click on the icon and select Run as Administrator. Quote
manyee Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Not had this before, but make sure that you are running ACAD as an administrator (right-click on the icon and select Run as Administrator. Thanks, I tried to run it as administrator like you said and the update works but somehow ACAD 2009 still says that my Quadro FX 570 is not certified. I've checked with Autodesk and they list Quadro FX 570 as certified on their web. How do I do this? Quote
manyee Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 Nobody can help me? My ACAD 2009 still don't wan't to recognize my Quadro FX 570 as certified hardware still even after I did the update. (type 3d config-->update) Is there a manual way to update this? Maybe by going to windows explorer and replace certain file? Thanks, Quote
chulse Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Have you updated the driver fory video card from the Autodesk site? You may be using an older driver that is not certified. Quote
manyee Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 I did update everything. My car driver now is 178.46 which is the latest one as I checked with Nvidia site last night. I also update the AutoCAD performance driver. Quote
AVITWeb Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 You have to be careful. Just because the drivers are the most current does not mean that they have been certified by Autodesk. They tend to be a bit slow on this end. Quote
manyee Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 Thanks for the remeinder, AVITWeb. Does anybody here have Quadro FX570 and ACAD 2009? Quote
