dbroada Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 FILEDIA = 1 will give you the file dialogue box. Quote

smorales02 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 This has to be in the FAQS section..... Quote
dbroada Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 This has to be in the FAQS section..... so should I have said "go check the FAQ" or should I give the answer? Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 This has to be in the FAQS section..... so should I have said "go check the FAQ" or should I give the answer? I think what sorales was saying is that it needs to be added to the FAQ. as it's not in there at the moment. Quote
dbroada Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I think what sorales was saying is that it needs to be added to the FAQ. as it's not in there at the moment. search the FAQ forum for FILE BOX and you will be guided towards http://www.cadtutor.net/faq/questions/8/The+dialog+box+isn%27t+showing+up+in+AutoCAD Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 ok me = brainfrazzled!!!! I thought i'd done a thorough check, obviously not sorry dave Quote
GhostRider Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 It needs to be in bold red letters in the forum header with pickfirst =1 Quote
dbroada Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 ok me = brainfrazzled!!!! I thought i'd done a thorough check, obviously not sorry dave I have to admit to looking for FILEDIA first - the term I knew. The problem with FAQs is usually finding the correct search term so I may have cheated a bit. and ghost rider, that is my problem with FAQs too. I'm not convinced people would even read big red letters. Quote
GhostRider Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 true dave... I think it is funny how many times it comes up though.... Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 The bigger question is why does it flag itself off so frequently. Quote
dbroada Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 possibly/probably from LISP routines not resetting it correctly. I don't know if there is a keyboard shortcut that toggles it that could be done by mistake. I used to turn it off if I was opening several files in a row from a script as leaving it on would cause the routine to stop, waiting for an input. I don't think this is necessary anymore but my routines don't get updated very often and I guess I'm not alone there. Quote
