Items that can't be deleted. Version 2009

Hello Users,

I'm having trouble deleting items in my drawing. When I'm zoomed extents the items are visible but I can't "pick" them. When I zoom in on them they disappear. The only way I've been able to get rid of 'em is to create a new drawing, window only what I need, then go back and overwrite the old drawing; i'ts a pain. Can someone give some advice? It would really be appreciated, thanks.....

Try this.

  1. Zoom in to what you want to keep.
  2. Then start the command Erase.
  3. Answer "ALL" on the Select Objects question.
  4. Then type "R" for Remove and select with a window (not crossing window!) the items you want to keep.
  5. Press Enter to finish.

What kinds of objects are these that disappear when you zoom in on them? Could they be images?

Maybe the OP opened a drawing that had some geomarkers in it. The darn things will drive you crazy trying to zoom in on them and trying to erase them (which you can't).

Blipmode and grid are both off?
