Part of the hatch vanishes when I insert a block

I have a file that contains all my blocks, some of which have hatches. I've also made myself a tool palette containing these blocks. When I insert them into whatever drawing the hatch magically vanishes from half the block, while the other half remains (the hatch is divided by a line in the block). Very wierd...anyone seen anything like this?

I think I may have.

My guess would be that it doesn't actually dissapear, rather the scales within the drawings are making the hatch appear invisible.

As wannabe said the scale or units within the drawing can effect this. also if your block drawings are unitless, it will assume the units of the drawing & may result into what u r seeing.
