Hoover Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Is there an easy way to determine if the CAD file it set up for inches/feet or CM/MM? Quote
lpseifert Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Measurement=0 (English linetypes and hatches-ANSI); =1 (Metric linetypes and hatches-ISO) saved in dwg. Measureinit=0 (English); =1 (Metric) saved in registry Quote
Andrew1979 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 When you are in a drawing, type "units" without quotations then look under insertion scale. Mind you, this doesn't necessarily mean the drawing was drawn with this measurement in mind, but if you were to insert a drawing as a block into a drawing and the scale seems strange (e.g a Car block is as bid as a matchbox) then the scale in the Block is probably wrong. People often forget to set the correct units Quote
osam3202 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Also when you need to create a new file use the "acadiso.dwt" for metric and "acad.dwt" for imperial. Quote
