Is there an easy way to determine if the CAD file it set up for inches/feet or CM/MM?

Measurement=0 (English linetypes and hatches-ANSI); =1 (Metric linetypes and hatches-ISO) saved in dwg.

Measureinit=0 (English); =1 (Metric) saved in registry

When you are in a drawing, type "units" without quotations then look under insertion scale. Mind you, this doesn't necessarily mean the drawing was drawn with this measurement in mind, but if you were to insert a drawing as a block into a drawing and the scale seems strange (e.g a Car block is as bid as a matchbox) then the scale in the Block is probably wrong. People often forget to set the correct units

Also when you need to create a new file use the "acadiso.dwt" for metric and "acad.dwt" for imperial.:)
