Fillet problem

Can`t seem to fillet between an elipse and retangle when the retangle is adjacent to major axis of the elipse and there is a gap of 50mm between both objects and a fillet size of 100mm radius. obviously operator failure , so any help please.

A bit more information and possibly a screen shot would help to give meaningful advice.

Are you working in 2D or 3D?

Does the Command Line give any messages? like "Cannot fillet between these two entities"

hi, drawing in 2D. the broken retangle and elipse require a fillet of 100mm between them either side of the elipse to form the toilet. i can select the retangle as first object but not the elipse as second object. command line reads:- `select second object or shift select to apply corner`. when i follow command line instruction this gives me a snap option, thought snap to nearest for the elipse would work but no luck .

You could try setting Pellipse=1 prior to making the ellipse for the toilet bowl; it will create the ellipse as a polyline and you can use fillet.

many thanks . had to change the size of the break in the retangle to fillet the opp side of ellipse a couple of times, finally got there though.
