td88 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 What am I missing? I wish to copy an Acad file to Sketchup. While in the Acad drawing, I click File/Export, get an Export data dialog box, choose a destination folder and click Save. I've done this four times and each time, when I check the folder in Explorer, there is no file of that name. There is only one file type available, .wmf or Metafile. Quote
td88 Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 In addition, I've done a hard drive search for a file of that name with no results. Quote
Cad64 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 You don't need to Export anything from Autocad. Just open Sketchup and Import your dwg file. Quote
papagyi Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 When you use import with sketchup & browsing file, don't forget to change file type for dwg format! Quote
