Tables

In this table you can see ABCDEF ... and 123456 etc along the side and across the top. When I insert atable I dont get this? is there a setting I need to apply? Cheers

I have seen a few tables with it so i'm not sure.

is it different if you datalink to an excel table or insert an AutoCAD table?

The examples I have seen do it for a datlink too and for a stand alone table but it isn't doing it for either of mine

I have Service Pack 2 for C3D 2008 installed and it still doesn't work. I've contacted Ade$k's support about it and their response was (more or less) "Yeah, we know". I don't know if it was fixed in 2009.

I have just had SP2 installed and I don't see one bit of difference. The other thing I was looking at was creating multiple attributes and it says this is fixed in SP1 but its still not working

Annotation Scaling

When dragging and dropping a named view from the style sheet manager to the host drawing, the annotation scaling features work properly

Custom scales which exist in the nested xrefs are no longer duplicated in the host drawing

Blocks in the Tool Palettes created from the DesignCenter annotative drawings are now annotative

Multiline attributes no longer shift positions every time drawings are saved and opened

The Value field for an attribute definition may now be modified in the Property Palette

The Y-scale factor of inserted blocks is now scaled accurately

The Communication Center is now enabled by default.

Dashboards

The dashboard panel configuration is now maintained throughout different workspaces and user sessions

Radial extension arcs may now be disabled, restoring the ability to dimension small radii

The In-Place dimension text editor size is now correct

Round-off dimension values now appear correctly

Dimension breaks no longer cause AutoCAD to hang

Linetypes now always display properly after zooming operations

DWG

Copy/paste now works in the drawings saved as 2000 and then resaved in AutoCAD 2004, AutoCAD 2005, or AutoCAD 2006

E-Transmit

AutoCAD 2000 and Release 14 file formats are preserved while using ETRANSMIT with the "Keep existing drawing file formats" setting enabled

Fields

Drawing name field now always plots correctly

Hatch

The BHATCH command boundary detection mechanism has been improved

Image frames are no longer plotted or displayed when IMAGEFRAME is set to 0

The ampersand character ("&") may now be entered on the Layout tab

Multileader

The location of attributes in multileader block is no longer off-center

Multileader text no longer unexpectedly rotates

MText

MText tabs are now saved correctly to the older DWG formats

Certain Japanese characters are displayed correctly

One thing I found (at least on my machine w/ C3D 2008) is that the multi-line attribute doesn't display properly, it does plot as multi-line.

Here's the response I got about Tableindicator

After performing, some additional research and some testing IO find that this is a known issue for Civil 3D 2008. I will pass this case along so that development will know we have another instance of this issue. At this time the Table indicator will not display in Civil 3D and we do not have a patch or hot fix to correct this.
