NoelStalker Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Hello all, I am having a problem with my OSNAP all of a sudden. It happens on all drawings and even after I have restarted my computer. I have endpoint selected for osnap and osnap is on. Usually, ACAD finds the nearest endpoint when I move my cross hair near it and the cross hair turns to a grip icon. I can usually move my mouse around a little bit and it will still keep the nearest endpoint selected with the OSNAP grip icon. However, now when I do it the OSNAP grip flashes briefly and is gone. No matter how far I zoom in I can't get it to reappear. It might reappear for a second while I am moving my mouse to try to find the endpoint but then it dissapears before I can select it. This is really weird. Seems like it has happened to me before but I was able to overcome it by restarting my PC. I have not loaded any lisps today or changed any settings, to my knowledge, in ACAD today. Any suggestions? Quote
CruizerCAD Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 what do you have aperture and pickbox set to? Quote
boyo Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 It happens to me sometimes but only working in 3d. Never had this problem in 2d. Just a small crosshair briefly which does usually the job but i would prefer to have proper onsnap aides like in 2d. Settings aperture and pickbox are set to standard i quess as i reinstalled acad a couple or triple of times and the problem persists. Quote
Fritz Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I've noticed in 3D drawings that OSNAP has some trouble grabbing points if you're working in a different Z value than that which your lines are on. Try setting the ucs again? Quote
NoelStalker Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 it's working today. AutoCAD does weird stuff like that every once in a while. Like when I select something, sometimes it is not hi-lited, other times it is. Quote
