I was in the Piping workspace drawing a pipe in the 'Waste piping' system. When I was done I noticed that the pipe had been placed on the layer named 'H-MedicalGas-G' which can't possibly be right...?

Duh!... this is CAD... if it was blocked you'd just explode it... no need for a plumber!

No, it's way down in the system-list in the Piping workspace.

/edit... ah sorry... this is the MEP forum... I was looking at youir profile which just says AutoCAD 2009

Siberian,
I don't see waste piping on mine but can't you layer isolate then change the system in the properties box?

Try changing the system....In 09 select a piece of pipe (or Fitting) in the a run of pipe ...Right click and go to modify run....Look on the right side of the drop down boxes for system on the left you will see your current system......change the system in the drop down box and you should be on the correct layer.....If not then it is a layer key issue
