onkelbob Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I have a compaq scroll mouse I think I recall being able to rotate my view, in 3d, sort of like you can in google earth. You know what I mean , being able to see it rotate as you drag it in a rotation. Do I need to change some settings on my mouse or was I dreaming? Quote
RichterGMC Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I know that in 2D if you hold the scroll wheel it actives the pan function, so maybe try that in 3D and see if it will allow you to "pan" in 3D? Let us know Quote
onkelbob Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 No that doesn't work. It used to but not with my current equipment. I just wondered if I need to change some settings. Quote
RichterGMC Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 It is possible, go into your mouse settings, if you have a fancy mouse it more than likely came with a CD to install a settings program, which would allow you to choose what function each button does. try that Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Sounds like you're talking about 3DORBIT. Try holding down Shift+ScrollWheel to activate it. Quote
onkelbob Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Yes 3dorbit works for me. I just have to press one of the reference circles that pop up in the command yes that works fine. Quote
