How to retain background color as default

I know how to change the background color by right clicking and then going to Options > Display > Colors

How can I save this setting so that the Black background is then the default background for each user?

Don't think you can... it's a default set-up that comes in when a user starts up... but it only needs doing once per user & only takes seconds.

In Options>Profiles, create yourself a profile with the settings you want.

Right click on your Acad Icon on the desktop, click properties, and change the target to open the name of your new profile, i.e. "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008\acad.exe" /p ">"

(standard is the name of my profile).

This will launch your settings whenever you open Acad.
