autocad problem

hi

i have a problem with my autocad 2008 which was working fine. i use it for quoting jobs within the construction industry

some times i will receive a drawing in a pdf format which i convert to a dxf and then to a dwg, when i want to srs my drawing and confirm the orrientation of the title bar i have a message displayed that reads

run time error'-2147418113(8000fff)';

Method 'Item' of object

'IAcadselectionset' failed

I have asked other people to try and srs the dxf drawing into a dwg and they can do it no problem so there is nothing wrong with the drawings im trying to convert

Why are you estimating on a computer screen? No plotter?

Not being a smart alec, just curious. There's no way I could do that when I estimate. I'd be sure to miss things.

www.pdf2cad.com has a free trial program also.

Not very successful changing *.pdf's to *.dxf's.

However, works in a pinch. Then clean up the file and save as a *.dwg.

The program free trial is, or was, forever.
