This is the first time I have run across this, my materials are rendering very washed out. I went to look and adjust a few in the materials palette, and they are washed out in the previews in there too!!! any ideas?

Did you check "3dconfig" setting?:)

There is nothing in the 3dconfig settings that would apply to the problem I am having. All of my other projects display my materials correctly in the materials palette. I have solved partially the render itself, but the materials palette is a bit of a problem. I can barely make out the materials in them.

Sorry for sounding rude in my last post. I had been working in the darn file for a few hours straight trying to find the problem, and I have a cold so I was a little short tempered.

I did however find that my graphics drivers were out of date through looking at the 3dconfig settings though :D

I ended up doing a copy and paste of the entire model into a new file, and it seems to have solved the problem. I will post a quick render in the showcase forum for you to take a quick look at. I am still in the process of utting materials on the darn thing, so my roof is very very red lol.

thanks for the help.
