:( Is it at all possible to mmanipulate the contraints of 3d parts thats are downloaded from lets say 3dcentral or mcmaster?

Ex. I added an air cylinder into my project but cant take advantage of the pivot and stroke features. It imports into the project as one piece.

I believe Inventor has an option for opening SAT and STEP files as an assembly (assuming that it was built that way from the start). From the "Open" dialog box select the part file and select "Options".

I don't have IV in front of me so I can't verify this but I believe this is where it is located.
