AML Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Hello everyone..i'm new to autocad and have a easy question. i'm running 2009. when using the "leader with text" command, how do you set the size of the leader itself and the text size when using this command..i've tried a bunch of different things but nothing seems to work. the leader isn't showing up at all while the text is off the screen! where do i go to set these? i appreciate any help on this! Strix Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 If it hasn't changed in the last couple of releases (which it might) it's in the dimensions set up Quote
AML Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 That's what i thought as well but that only effects the leader size when using the dimensioning toolbar..not for when you are placing text! It seems like it should be under the text setup somewhere but i (and about 5 other people in my office) can't seem to find it there either. Thanks for your feedback! Quote
Cad64 Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 What textstyle are you using with your leader dimstyle? Your textstyle should have a height of "0". Then you can set the text height from within the dimstyle manager. If your text height is set in the textstyle, then it will always be that height no matter what changes you make in the dimstyle manager. I always create a textstyle called DIMSTYLE. I use this for any dimension styles I create. Then, in the dimstyle manager, "Text" tab, I set the text size to 1.0. On the "Symbols and Arrows" tab, I set the arrow size to 1.0 or 2.0, depending on the symbol. Then, on the "Fit" tab, I set the Overall Scale according to my paperspace viewport plot scale. Quote
