Erase Layers

I´m Tyrying to erase a layer but It cannot be deleted:

It is not the 0 layer, or a x-ref layer and there are no objects in that layer. Probably there was a block in that layer but it was erased.

How can I erase it?

By default LAYDEL requires you to select an object.

Type N instead and select the required layer(s) from the drop down list

Just some poinys on LAYDEL

1. LAYDEL cannot erase the current layer

2. LAYDEL will redefine any blocks that contain nested objects on the layer to be deleted

Try PURGE command!!!!!!

Smoetimes even though the block isn't being used if it is still in the

drawing file so as can be inserted at a later point the layer

assosciated with it can't be deleted.

But Viriato79 says "no objects in that layer". So Purge should work! May have to purge twice. First would goose the block and the second would goose the layer. ""Maybe"...

Yeah even if the blocks not inserted but in the memory of the drawing, then it sometime won't allow you to get rid of the layer "Just in case" Hence why i was agreeing with you - Sorry for the confusion

A couple of purges should work, as DECHAL suggests, unless..........

someone has to ask the stupidly obvious question, and it may as well be me. Is the layer 'defpoints'?

I did purge but, purge and purge all buttons were disabled. but when I right click at layers in that windows I could purge the layer Terciarias.

Another "stupid" question. The layer your deleting is it your current layer??????????
