billyreiter Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Hey, everyone. I have a quick question concerning plotting. I'm working on a project using a few xref images of architectural backgrounds and reflected ceiling plans for lighting fixtures, and when I go to plot it, either the page is blank, only parts are showing, or only one of the backgrounds show up. Is there any way to remedy this? Could this be the result of a corrupted file? Thank you in advance for your help, I appreciate it. Quote
Dipali Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 check which layer the images are attched in. becuase if it is in defpoint layer or layer set to no plot(viewport boundry). it will not appear in plot. Quote
billyreiter Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Unfortunately, they are not on defpoints, and the layers are set up to be plotted. Thank you for the response, though. Quote
ReMark Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Have you been able to successfully plot this drawing in the past? Maybe your nested Xrefs are more than two deep. Check Layer Properties Manager, the Plot column. Xref layer crossed out? Quote
billyreiter Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 I just checked, it seems good to go in terms of plotting, nothing's checked off, the layers are in order and plottable, it just refuses to plot. I'm starting to think this might be some kind of bug. What do you think? Thank you for the reply, though, it was worth a shot. Quote

billyreiter Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Thanks for the links, uddfl, but they're not raster images, they're regular drawings. I've had problems with rasters in the past, but these links will help with that, thank you. I'm beginning to think this might be a bug or glitch, which sucks for me. Quote
ReMark Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 You failed to answer this question: Have you been able to successfully plot this drawing in the past? Now I have another: Are you up-to-date with your service packs? Quote
billyreiter Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Sorry about that, ReMark. Yes, I have been able to plot this file in the past, and I have other files that can be plotted, using the same xrefs. I'm not 100% on the service pack question, but I'm pretty sure we are up to date on that. Quote
ReMark Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 If you have been able to plot the file in the past then I would rule out a bug. What changed since the last time you successfully plotted the drawing and now? Quote
