Trying to show hiddenlines on a portion of a 3d object

Hi,

I'm using ACAD 2006 in the attached 3d drawing. As you can see, my support posts extend below my concrete slab 2.5' into the ground. Is there an easy method of depicting the bottom 2.5' of the support posts as hidden lines? I can't figure it out!!

There is no "easy method" I am aware of. I take it the post is one continuous object correct?

Correct. Only way I can think of is to slice them at the slab surface and draw another solid with hidden lines...not that complicated, just annoys me that they would be 2 separate solids instead of just one...

That's life with a solid.

Although in a layout using Solview and Soldraw any "hidden" lines would be represented correctly.
