shapes changing ?

Hi just a quick one, i have been applying trees and other items to a site. The shapes have smooth rounded edges but when i save the item and reopen later they have changed from for example a perfect circle to a hexagon.

Also outlines for hatched areas have done the same and now the hatching protudes the boundaries.

Hope that makes sense and any advice is greatly recived.

Does Civil 3D have a Viewres command? If so, bump the setting up and see if that smoothes out the curves for you.

Thanks ReMark, i forgot to say this is in cad 2007, although i have just tried to have a look in 2009 and it does the same

It makes it 85% better but the problem is still there..

Very strange i have just selected the items and hit ENTER which has sorted the problem. Does anybody have a clue what the problem was ?

Arcs appear as straight lines

Common causes:

1. VIEWRES is set too low (WHIPARC has to be off)

2. SHADEMODE has been set to other than 2D

3. WHIPARC is set to 1. (Viewres will have no effect when whiparc is set to 1)
