Scaling layer linetypes.

Hello,

I have an question for which I have been looking for an answer for the past week. Is there a way to change the scale of linetypes for a specific layer?. In other words let's say I make a layer for my hidden beams, I want to make the line type for this layer a hidden line with a scale of 10 how can I do that?

I know you can pick and choose lines and scale them individually or in a group though the properties window, but what if I want to do this with the layer itself as to save time every time I create a new line.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.
