OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Hi, Is there any way to set up an different plotter (i.e. a PDF printer instead of the local plotter) when trying to plot a lot of layouts with publish OTHER than to set an PDF plotter up in the page setup. We can't find a way of chosing an other plotter. The page setup as of what to print and any custom papersizes are allready setup on both plotters (real plotter and pdf) Quote
Tiger Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 as far as I know, it's not possible with Publish. I use Sheet Set Manager for that purpose - there you can set a Plot Override and plot to any plotter you want. Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Sheet set manager ? If i open that command it has no entries. In publish you can save the list, but it can't be opened with that manager. How can you use this manager with the current plot settings ? Edit, Ok, i now know how to input an drawing, but i cannot find a way to set up an other plotter... Quote
Tiger Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 In the Sheet Set Manager - right-click on the name of your sheet set and select Properties. In the Page Setup Override, find your template (where you hopefully have several plot settings ready) and hit ok. Now, you can right click on your Sheet set, or a sub-set or a single drawing and select Publish -> Publish with page Setup Overrides and voila! Quote
sekar_r24 Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Hi Here is the solution. Select the layout tab in the bottom --> go to page setup manager. choose modify, select the pdf printer from the list of printer.Click ok. Now plot. Find the output pdf file from the location in plot and publish details in the file menu, Check at Plot file path:xxxxxx regards sekar.r Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 It needs to be done when publishing. Setting al the printers by hand on all the layouts isn't my idea of an sollution. It may be a bit faster that to plot every layout by hand, but you still have to look after every layout tab. Quote
