bballrrt06 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I just upgraded my Graphics card from a NVIDIA 7300GT POS to a ATI FIRE GL V3600. The 3d camera work has a much higher frame rate now, however, when I'm drawing lines in the Realistic view, they get very laggy. Drawing lines in this view is probably actually worse than with the old GFX card. I'm sure there's some setting that needs to be changed, but I can't seem to find it.. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Edit: Actually it's in any 3D view, including the basic 3D wireframe.. Quote
ReMark Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Have you checked settings in Performance Tuner? Quote
rgarjr Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 as remark mentioned, play with the settings in the 3dconfig command. Quote
bballrrt06 Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 Ah, I figured it out, turns out the GFX card had a setting on itself that was messed up. Thanks for the help. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Ah, I figured it out, turns out the GFX card had a setting on itself that was messed up. Thanks for the help. Also, make sure the video card drivers are certified and up-to-date. If you type 3DCONFIG and click the View Tune Log button, and see if your video driver is up to date, as well as the version of the XML file. I have highlighted both things you should check. If you are out of date, then go here to get everything up to date: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=6711848&linkID=9240618 PS: For the record, even if your graphics card is brand new, you should check this. When I got my Quadro FX1700 in, it was not certified and up-to-date until I followed these steps. Hope this helps further. Quote
