Hi! (me again)

I'm trying to open a drawing which seems to display an embedded xref in preview but has none when I fully open it.

(There are no associated xref files in the folder)

Sorry - There are masses of gaps in my knowledge (I'm at the thrilled to find 'CNTL+ 1' short cut for PROPERTIES stage:D )

The preview means little, it's just a snapshot of the drawing when it was last saved.

It sounds like AutoCAD cannot find the xrefs.

Check the path by opening the EXTERNALREFERENCES palette.

If the author used a full or relative path, and you do not have access to this path, and the xrefs are not in the same drawing as the parent drawing, then they will not be loaded.

If the author used no path, then the xrefs must be in the same directory as the drawing.
