CLAYTONA82 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I am new to AutoCad and was wondering if you can stub dimension on AutoCad LT 2009. Quote
Cad64 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Can you be a little more specific? What do you mean by "stub dimension"? Can you post a screenshot of what you're trying to do? Quote
CLAYTONA82 Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Like this, this is a pic I found on this site. I detail Structural Steel and could really use something like this. It would make the drawing a lot neater without all the dimension lines. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks Clayton stubdim.pdf Quote

Claytona, Look into ordinate dimensioning, I think it is close to what you want. Well I have tried that and it works really well but I draw about 30-40 peices on one drawing and can't draw every one at coordinates 0-0. So on one peice the dimensions may start at 41'-2" Quote
totzky Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Well I have tried that and it works really well but I draw about 30-40 peices on one drawing and can't draw every one at coordinates 0-0. So on one peice the dimensions may start at 41'-2" Then, move your ucs to that point. By command "UCS" "origin" snap to that point or input the coordinates ,say, (41'-2",0). Quote
