grain Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 It would be interested to know what paper fellow drafters use when printing out copies of A1 A0 drawings for error checking. I use the same bright white ('premier') paper and don’t change to a cheaper lighter paper. This is because of the inconvenience of changing the rolls. Well its interesting to me! Quote
ReMark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 We stopped using bright white (premier) paper some time back as it was not cost effective and no one seemed to care. We use coated 20# bond for everything. Quote

grain Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 The company Ive moved to has been paying £21 per roll. Ive seen Design Supplies at £7-£8 Not sure what this 20 Bond paper refered to by ReMark is. Quote
ReMark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 20 lb. rag bond white paper. For you on the other side of the pond, a paper designated as being between 12-16 lb. rag would equate to a "thin" broadsheet. Quote
ReMark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 From Answers.com: What is rag content? "Percentage of cotton fiber content of better quality paper. The percentage of rag content shows in print when paper is held up to light." Quote
