Does anyone know how to output to a file the results of:

Command: setvar

Enter variable name or [?]: ?

Enter variable(s) to list : "return"

I will appreciate your help. Thank you!

you can ctrl-c & ctrl-v from your command line (or F2 screen) into notepad but the easiest way to look at your variables is through the express tool|tools|system variable editor

Either COPYHIST that into notepad,

or ExpressTools -> Tools -> System Variable Editor then save and open with Notepad

Thank you for your prompt responses, I appreciate them.

Is there any way we can type in the AutoCAD command promt without having to go through the screen and copy the information? I was wondering if we can send the output directly to a file.

Your comments will be appreciated.

Thank you!

If you use the Express Tools SYSVDLG, you can export all, or as many as you wish, of the system variables to a file. You should then be able to view the contents of this file by using Notepad or some other equivalent.

However, this will not be possible if you are using LT.
