Ham007 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Does anyone know how to output to a file the results of: Command: setvar Enter variable name or [?]: ? Enter variable(s) to list : "return" I will appreciate your help. Thank you! Quote
dbroada Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 you can ctrl-c & ctrl-v from your command line (or F2 screen) into notepad but the easiest way to look at your variables is through the express tool|tools|system variable editor Quote
uddfl Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Either COPYHIST that into notepad, or ExpressTools -> Tools -> System Variable Editor then save and open with Notepad Edit: Welcome to the forum! Quote
Ham007 Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Thank you for your prompt responses, I appreciate them. Is there any way we can type in the AutoCAD command promt without having to go through the screen and copy the information? I was wondering if we can send the output directly to a file. Your comments will be appreciated. Thank you! Quote
NBC Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 If you use the Express Tools SYSVDLG, you can export all, or as many as you wish, of the system variables to a file. You should then be able to view the contents of this file by using Notepad or some other equivalent. However, this will not be possible if you are using LT. Quote
