MvPart Object Style override - is this possible??

Pretty simple question: I have everything in MEP Design display configuration, but I want my return grilles only to be like the ones in MEP Schematic. (these are just the display configurations from the standard template). I am wanting this so it shows the diagonal line through the grille to represent it as a return diffuser. I've monkied around with the Display Manager but no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks. I've attached pictures to understand better, its highlighted in yellow..... Thanks in advance....

I want to stay in this display configuration....

Well I think I found a temporary fix. Please let me know if this is a good technique....

I went to the Display Manager -> Representations by Object -> Multi-View Part and added a check to the checkbox for Schematic to the MEP Design Display Set. Then I went back and did an override to hide all the Fan Power Boxes and Supply Diffusers under the Schematic display set in the drawing, leaving all the return grilles showing as the way I want. Hopefully this is good practice, but this seems like a long way about doing things. There's gotta be a better way?? Thanks again.

Man, that link is absolutely fantastic, Golf. I didn't know it was that easy to create your own parts, or modify what was there. In fact, I've been needing to see that tutorial for awhile now. I knew this method existed but nobody actually helped me go about doing it this way.

You have now opened up a whole new realm for me in MEP. Now I can incorporate my 2D company specific blocks into MEP. My thanks goes above and beyond for this post. 8)
