How to add new layer to a layer filter directly

Hi,

the layermanager in 2009 is different from that of previous version.. a bit more handy when switching to layers and so since you can keep it open all the time.

But when i need to make new layers while in a layerfilter the new layer jumps to the "all" filter right away with no way of naming the layer.

with the command "layerdlgmode > 0" the old layer manager comes back which can add layers while in a filter, but you have to close that window everytime you want to start drawing agian.

Is there an way to get the best of both worlds?

So Add layers even while in a filter, and able to keep the layermanager open all the time and also be able to draw ?

but it will be useful if you chnage the title of your thread to something related to your question. so it will bring up similar threads at the bottom of the page & also some of our experienced member tend to ignor posts with the random titles, so you have less chance of them looking at your question.
