Architecture 2009 Profiles Question

I now feel like a beginner. When I use the AutoCAD Profile provided, I can use ctrl+s, Ctrl+u and all the other standard windows shortcuts, but when I want to be able to use AutoCAD Architecture Profiles I lose all those shortcuts. Am I doing something wrong?

Intel Core Duo 2 1.66 ghz
3 gig ram


I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and repaired the program
