Tiger
So for a while now, when I pull up the AutoCAD Help and flip over to the Search tab I get nothing. nada. zilch. Just a blank with....wihte...white (damn, lost my cheat sheet) very-light-grey area where the Search box should be. Anyone has a clue what's wrong? NBC
you have a corrupt help file ? try copying it direct from the installation disk ? it happened to me a fair bit too
Tiger
Damn. Thanks NBC, since we install AutoCAD from a installationn file provided from the IT Dep. I guess I need to call them Would it be possible to copy the help file from another computer that has a working Help?

Strix
it isn't unusual for help files not to be loaded for software - so few people use them, and they take up space, and besides, you can get help on the net these days
Tiger
the weird part is that the Help file does work I can use the Index function to search for specific things - it's just the Search tab that is blank. But I rarely use it to really find help, like you said Strix, help comes from other places. I use it to search for variable alternatives and stuff that I know are in there. I'll do swith-a-roo on the Helpfiles on monday to see if it works.
