cvriv.charles Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 First problem. I tried to move a triangle by one of it's corners to the WCS origin. When the move command asked for second point I typed "0, 0" and then enter. It didnt move. To get it to move I had to add a point to the WCS origin and use osnap. Whats the deal with that? Also,... if I want to measure a distance how would I go about doing that? I know you can get the length of a line through it's properties but what if the distance I want to measure doesnt have a line? I really dont want to create lines just to take measurements. Thanks. CarlB Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Depending on your dynamic input mode, coordinates you enter are treated as relative or absolute. Yours must be relative. Click on the "dyn" button along the bottom. or precede coordinates with "#" for absolute. Try the "distance" command for distance between points. OK that one isn't obscure **oops** make that the DIST command. or maybe DI shortcut. Thx lpseifert. Quote
lpseifert Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Try Dist, Distance returns the system variable Quote
