ACD tables and Excel home and student 2007

Has anyone tried linking tables from a drawing using Home and Student 2007 Excel?

Should it work or has MS engineered it to recognise ACAD is a 'commercial ' app?

...or am I not using links properly - I have used them OK in the past with 2003:?

why am I using H & S Excel 2007 - don't ask for the moment...:roll:

...judging from the number of MS error reports my system sent to MS yesterday while I spent inordinate amount of time trying to get tables and Excel to work I think there might be a problem with H & S Excel 2007. ...and on starting PC this morning it said it found unsent errors yesterday for sending now...:oops::oops::oops:

Perhaps my paranoia about using Home edition in this context is unjustified...:roll::roll::roll:

...can anyone just confirm that they can use ACAD 2009 tables with any version of Excel?
