Hi guys,
Really hope you can help me with this;
I have created multiple layouts in AutoCAD Map 2008 and plotted each as a PDF. I started at 600dpi and they're a range of sizes, up to A1,. Each file contains numerous scanned bitonal transparent images.
The files range from 5mb to 25mb. They open very slowly! My printer can't even open them let alone print them.
Is there a way to rdeuce the file size?
The longterm goal is to get the image into Adobe Illustrator so that i can trace them and make look nice. but i also need to print hard copies.
Illustrator will not open the file and the system crashes.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Dave
edit: i ran an audit on the pdf and 70% of the file is 'content streams'. no idea what that means or how to reduce it!
