Any help with the following would be really appreciated:

I am using Architectural Desktop 2009 and want to set up a standard title box so when you open a new drawing it is already there in paper space set up with a tab for A3 or A4.

I have been told this can be done so all I have to do is type in the attributes.

Any help?

Create a Template (a .dwt) and put in your block in that one.

After you have a drawing set up the way you like it, with layers and blocks and dimstyles and textstyle and Page Setups and what-nots (not that you have to have all of those things, you can have as much or as little as you like in your template) do a Save- As and in the File of Types select AutoCAD Template (.dwt) and save it to one of two locations.

Either, a self-chosen location (on a network where more can acess it for example) or in the template folder that AutoCAD already has specified.

Either way, if you go into Options (Tools>Options) and select the Files-tab, go down to Drawing Template File Location and click the pluses til you see a search path. The on that is there (presumably, if someone hasn't changed it already) is the AutoCAD pre-defined template location. If you want to use your own template folder, change the path here.

You don't have to changes this search paths, but doing so means that everytime you start a new drawing and get asked for a template, you end up the right folder per default.

No problem, if there's a step missing (not too strange, it's 6pm here and I'm getting tired) just shout and I'll explain a bit more
