hi guys,

this is my first post -

im looking for a little help with using my layer colours in paper space and model space.

I want to keep my model space colours as they are but change all the colours in paper space to suit my plot style.

for example if im using cyan for alot of components in model space i want to switch them to green in paper space so it looks ok when i use it with my plot style.

Im running autocad 2005 full version on xp

thanks for any input!

I don't think you'll have much luck with OOTB commands. If you had a later version you could use Layer Overrides, but I don't think that is an option in 2005. You could try setting up different Layer States, but you'd need to switch them each time you swap spaces.

Why make it tough on yourself? Use the same colors in model space that you use in paper space. If you're having trouble seeing the colors in paper space (yellow for example) change the background color.

I cant use the same colours in both model and paper space as im using a wide variety of colours to distinguish between pipework, ducting, steels, lighting etc etc. It makes it easier for me to use different colours as i can see what im drawing better.

ive had drawings sent to me with this setup. colours in model space but all white in paper space.

thanks for the input:)

This could reasonably easily be done by creating a ctb file and reassigning colours
