alijahed Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Hi All, I don't know what's happened to my Autocad which crashes these days!!! after one of those crashes I opened the file again and it asked me it's got an error and prompt me to use Recover function. I just ignore that because of no reason and keep working on that file a little bit and then save and close it. after re opening that file I realized that one part of that drawing just missing. what I'm asking is: Can I recover the first file and move back few steps? Cheers Quote
alijahed Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 :DD I used recover and it fixed :DDD Quote
ReMark Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Do you have AutoCAD set up to make .bak files? In the future, should you not be able to Recover a drawing you could at least resurrect it in a previous form by renaming the .bak file to .dwg. Quote
rkmcswain Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 you could at least resurrect it in a previous form by renaming the .bak file to .dwg. On any recent version (2006 and up I think), you don't even have to rename the file, just use the ._DRAWINGRECOVERY command to access, and open BAK files. Quote
