ziemerd Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 A coworker of mine is new to AutoCAD and some how lost Paper Space in his drawing. When I click on the tab for paper space it looks just like Model Space. Is there a way to get Paper Space back? Quote
ziemerd Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Figured it out. I clicked on Maximise Viewport icon down along the bottom of my drawing window. This put a red border around everything. I then clicked ont he icon a second time and then zoomed out and found my title block and border. I have no idea how my coworker lost his paper space. He said all he was doing was turning layers on and off in Model Space. Quote
uddfl Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 This happens to n00bs a lot when the viewport is not locked and they start zooming/panning... I call it "lost in paper space". A few years back I had this co-worker who would dot it all the time, so I put this function in her ACADDOC.lsp: (defun c:LIPS () (command "_.pspace") (command "_.zoom" "_e") (princ) ) Then when she would ask for help I would just type it and she would be like "WTH..." ziemerd Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Thank you. I suspected he was doing stuff with the viewport active. I've warned him many times about this but I don't think he remembers to deactivate and lock the viewport when he's done. Quote
