firstascent Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Hello, I have a dwg file im viewing in autocad 2009... All im trying to do is take some basic measurements. Everything is set to architectural. It is a building so its just a bunch of squares (rooms)... When I use dim linear to get the dimensions of each wall everything works fine (such as a 8x10 room) But what I would like to do is use the 'area' function to get the area of specific areas instead of adding everything up myself manually. but when I use the Area function I get a weird answer Example: I have a 42'x13' room, when i use the area function the answer I get is .0154 square feet Anyone know if Im doing something wrong or what I can do to fix it Thanks Quote
lpseifert Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Are you in Paper space when running the Area command? Try it from Model space. Quote
