Hi all,

My very first thread here... I read this forum for a long time and it's been really (really) helpfull.

But I just can't seem to figure out my next problem:

When I insert a block (triangle, point down) I would like to have text added with the Z coordinate... That's all. It should be easy, but... I only have 2008LT available here. So no programming, lisp, vba or anything similar

I guess a dynamic block would be most handy, but I can't get it working...

Could you please help me?

It's either a block that helps a lot or manually add the Z coordinate for all 6500 blocks :?

Thanx in advance!

If your triangle is a block then add an attribute and for the attribute template (not sure if that is the right term as I am using a german version of the program) value use a text field to insert the z value of the block. After editing the block. use attsync on the block for the update to take effect.

My triangle is indeed a block.

I tried the text field already but that didn't work out for me.

And I can't use attsync because this is LT :(

A text field should work for you. But you could make a new block and then use the command replace and replace the existing block wuth the new one. There should be plenty here on the forums to show you how to insert a coodinate in a text field.
